DNA as a means of song data storage

What is this?

An idea to use DNA to store music as digital information. DNA may last significantly longer than conventional music encoding formats.

DNA could be used as a long-lasting alternative to encoding music in 0 and 1. It would provide a base-4 data storage system. Encode music to ATGC sequences, 48 k, 32 bit. Freeze at -80 degrees.

Similar to the Voyager records, a database of historically important music (which could be chosen by meeting Unesco World Heritage criteria) could be established at Svalbard, where the required expertise to conserve biological material already exists, since Svalbard is home to the world's largest seed collection.

To restore the information, thaw the DNA, amplify it with PCR, send it to sequencing, decode the ATGC sequence to analog, use a KI algorithm to correct possible PCR sequencing mistakes, play.
